Responding, Not Reacting
Responding Over Reacting is a men's group focused on the difference between reacting on autopilot and responding from a grounded, centered place. We practice recognizing the automatic reactions that hijack us under stress and learning to lead ourselves with calm, curiosity, connection, and courage.
In a small, confidential circle in the Boulder and Denver, Colorado area, we slow down the moments where we usually snap, shut down, or control. We get curious about what's driving the reaction, create some space around it, and choose a response that fits our values. Over time this builds real leadership — at home, at work, and inside ourselves.
Your Opportunities
- Notice the moment a trigger fires before it drives your behavior.
- Understand the automatic reactions that show up as anger, withdrawal, or control — and what they're trying to protect.
- Create space between trigger and response so you can lead with calm, curiosity, connection, and courage.
- Turn reactive habits into chosen responses that match your values.
- Bring more steady, grounded leadership to your relationships and work.
Our Ask
- Show up consistently and on time.
- Bring curiosity toward your own reactions rather than judgment.
- Keep what's shared in the circle confidential.
- Be willing to slow down and feel, not just analyze.
